do not open the app until you have updated it to 7.08. Don' repair it, you must deinstall it completeley. Do I need to re-install the whole thing? Any and all help would be greatly apprecaited.ĭeinstall indesing if installed. I have tried using the Repair function from the Acrobat 7 CD and it didn't help either. I do not have Creative Suite, never had Acrobat 6, have not used System Restore or any of the other possibilites mentioned in the Knowledgebase. I have the correct permission for the user account (admin). My old version 5 was deinstalled before I ever installed ver 7 a long time ago. The Knowledgebase talks about this error occuring when you deinstall a previous version of Acrobat after you install ver 7 or an update. The only differnece between me and Paul is that he is using Acrobat Professional and I am using Acrobat Standard. As I said, Acrobat was working just fine for a week or more with the 7.0.8 upgrade until today. That was done and then I started receiving the exact same error message as Paul. It then gave me a re-install this feature option which I took. I did and it then said Acrobat could be used because JobOptions setting in the "All Users" folder could not be found. It went through some update process and told me to re-boot. Today when I logged into my computer I received a message saying Windows had to be configured to run Acrobat. I was able to use Acrobat with teh update for about a week or so. I added to his thread but since there was no help from his original posting I wanted to bring it up again in case anyone now has a solution.
